Md. Hasan Al Azad, MSS

Lecturer, Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, DUET, Gazipur

Md. Hasan Al Azad is currently working as a Lecturer of Political Science at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur. Before joining DUET, he served as a full-time Lecturer at the Department of Social Science in American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). Prior to that, he started his professional career as a full-time Lecturer of History in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). He pursued his BSS and MSS in Political Science and secured the first-class-first position in both from the University of Dhaka. Before that, he completed SSC and HSC in Science, obtaining a GPA of 5 in both from Rangpur Cadet College. For academic excellence, he was awarded Saifuddin Ahmed Manik Memorial Scholarship in 2021, Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship in 2021–2022, Dhaka University Postgraduate Scholarship in 2021, Lutfor Rahman Khan Memorial Scholarship in 2021, Dr. Ali Ahmed Memorial Scholarship in 2021, Selina-Emazuddin Memorial Scholarship in 2020, Abdur Razzaq Memorial Scholarship in 2018, and Saifuddin Ahmed Manik Memorial Scholarship in 2018 by the University of Dhaka. He also received a General Grade Scholarship in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination and a Talent Pool Scholarship in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination. In addition to his academic achievements, he was involved in social activities at Dhaka University, which allowed him to develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. He led four social organizations as president or general secretary, including the Political Science Assembly of Mohsin Hall (PSAM), Political Science English Adda (PSEA), Dhaka University Ex-cadets’ Association (DUECA), and Kurigram Students’ Welfare Association in Dhaka. These experiences equipped him to engage with diverse people and empower communities. He looks forward to developing his career as an academic in the social sciences and would love to add new knowledge to this field.
