Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam is currently working as a Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. Before this, he has joined the same University as a Lecturer in 2004 and later worked as an Assistant Professor. He has received his PhD degree in the field of Computer Science and Engineering from DUET, Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2022 and Master's degree in Information Technology from Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies, named after M.V. Lomonosov, Russia, in 2012. He completed his B.Sc. Engg. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2003 from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna, Bangladesh. His research interest includes Image processing, Image reconstruction. He is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
