Fazlul Hasan Siddiqui, PhD
Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DUET, Gazipur
Fazlul Hasan Siddiqui is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. He is also serving as the Chairman of ICT Cell, DUET at present. Previously he served as the Head in the same department for two years, and as the ICT Advisor of DUET for three years. He received his doctorate in Automated Planning in the filed of Artificial Intelligence from The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia in 2016. His doctorate dissertation has been named as an honorable mention for the prestigious ICAPS (International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling) Best Dissertation Award for 2017. Earlier he received his M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007, and his B.Sc. in Computer Science & IT from Islamic University of Technology, Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2002. His key publications include Multi-layered Attentional Peephole Convolutional LSTM for Abstractive Text Summarization (ETRI Journal), Continuing Plan Quality Optimisation (JAIR, 2015), and Exploiting Block Deordering for Improving Planners Efficiency (IJCAI, 2004). His current research interests include Automated Planning and Deep Learning in the filed of Artificial Intelligence.
