Dr. Md. Sofiul Alom, completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, before pursuing further studies abroad. At the University of Louisville, USA, Dr. Alom earned his second M.Sc. degree and continued his research towards a PhD. In 2023, he earned his doctoral degree in inorganic material chemistry, focusing on energy applications. His research focused on synthesizing oxides from the perovskite family for use as electrocatalysts for electrochemical water splitting, vital for green hydrogen production, and exploring their potential as pseudocapacitors for energy storage. Joining Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Gazipur in 2015 as a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, he now serves as an assistant professor, combining his passion for teaching and research.
