Most. Tahura Pervin, PhD

Dr. Most. Tahura Pervin is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur. She has been serving at DUET since 2008, contributing significantly to both academic excellence and institutional administration. Her major administrative responsibilities include serving as Head of the Department during 2013–2015 and again from 2024 to the present, along with holding key residential leadership roles as Provost and Assistant Provost of Madam Currie Hall. Additionally, she served as a part-time faculty member at BUET, IUT, BOU, SFU and PUB. Dr. Pervin earned her BBA and MBA in Accounting & Information System from the University of Dhaka, where she also completed her PhD in Business Studies (Strategic Management). Earlier in her academic career, she demonstrated remarkable scholastic distinction—receiving Talentpool Scholarships in both Class Five and Class Eight, securing five letter grades in the SSC examination, and achieving the First Position in the Rajshahi Education Board in the HSC examination. A productive researcher, Dr. Pervin has authored more than 20 research articles published in reputed national and international journals. Her dedication to teaching, research, and leadership continues to advance the academic and professional landscape of DUET.
