Md Zihan Babu, B.Sc. in Eng.

Md. Zihan Babu is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh, since November 2, 2025. Prior to joining DUET, he worked as an Assistant Engineer (Boiler Operation) at the Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant, Bangladesh-China Power Company Limited. He is presently pursuing his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Thermofluid & Energy) at DUET, a program he began in 2024. He completed his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from DUET in 2024, graduating first class first. His research interests include Aerodynamics, Biomedical Engineering, Solar Energy, Wave Energy, and HVAC systems.He is dedicated to advancing the field of mechanical engineering through innovative research and collaboration, with a strong focus on developing sustainable solutions to modern energy challenges. In addition to his academic and research pursuits, he is passionate about mentoring students and actively supports them in their undergraduate engineering projects. As a lecturer, he has taught several courses, including Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Engineering Drawing, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
