Zinia Nasreen, PhD

Dr. Zinia Nasreen has been recognized as a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur. Her academic foundation was established at the University of Dhaka, where a PhD in Polymer Science, an MSc, and a BSc in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering were earned with distinction. Over the course of her career, extensive teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities have been undertaken, and multiple terms as Chairman of the Department of Chemistry at DUET have been served. Her research expertise has been demonstrated in areas such as polymer science, biodegradable materials, environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, and material characterization. Numerous MPhil, MSc, and PhD students have been supervised under her guidance, and a significant number of publications and conference presentations have been produced in national and international forums. Multiple institutional and national research grants have been awarded to her projects, focusing on polymers, biocomposites, biodiesel, and industrial waste utilization. Her contributions have been acknowledged through several academic awards and scholarships received throughout her educational journey.
