Dr. Abu Talib Md. Kaosar Jamil was born in Nilphamari, Bangladesh on 1st January 1970. He obtained his B.Sc. (Honours) in 1989 and M. Sc. in 1990 from the Department of Physics, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He received his M. Phil. degree in 1998 in Physics in the field of Superconductivity from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He joined the Department of Physics, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh as a Lecturer in 1999. He received his Ph. D. degree in 2004 in Physics in the field of Semiconductor Nanospintronics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He became Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in 2004, 2008 and 2010, respectively. He has been working in the field of Material Sciences (Polymer Composites, Superconductors, Semiconductor-Spintronics and Magnetic Materials.) since 1999. He was the Head of this department during 2010-2012 and 2018-2020. He has supervised 02 Ph. D. students and 10 M. Phil. students. His present research interests are Magnetism, Semiconducting and Plasma Polymerized Thin Films and Polymer Composite Materials.
