Biplov Kumar Roy, PhD

I am very pleased to introduce myself as a Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of DUET with the help of Almighty GOD. Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). I completed my Ph.D. degree from Saitama University, Japan. During my Ph.D., I worked in Advanced manufacturing to the development of a numerical method for jointless spherical vessel production for application to the space industry; I developed Finite Element (FE) axisymmetric, and 3D simulation models for the metal spinning process using FE code. It validated the FE model with the experimental works of a manufacturing company (ASAHI SEISAKUSHO Co. Ltd., Japan). I completed both of my B.Sc. Eng. and M.Sc. Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from DUET. I Secured the First position among 129 students of the DUET Mechanical 21st batch. After completing my B.Sc. Eng. (ME), I joined as a Production Engineer at MAX Industries Ltd, Dhaka, Bangladesh. After that, I joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. My main aim is to secure a growth-oriented and challenging career in a first-paced and a well establishes a position in research by utilizing technical knowledge, practical experience, interpersonal skills, and teaching experience in a vow to convert thinking into an innovative creation because successful completion of research work is the missionary step of creating new things, to implement new idea and finally to get a successful outcome. My Research Interests mainly belong to - Advanced Manufacturing, Composites, Finite element modeling, and Engineering Mechanics & Mechanics of Solids. So far, I have published 20 articles in high-ranked journals and 9 international conference proceedings. I have been working on the thesis committee of postgraduate and undergraduate students at DUET, Gazipur, Bangladesh.
