I am a Professor of Economics at the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. I earned a Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University in the USA, and MAs from Dalhousie University, Canada, and the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. My research areas are the Economics of Education, Public Policy, and Applied Econometrics. My recent contributions have appeared in Finance Research Letters, Eastern Economic Journal, Global Finance Journal, and Comparative Education Review. I have consulted for various government and private organizations, including the UNDP, Commonwealth of Learning, US Forest, BIDS, University Grant Commission, and World Bank.
