I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur. I am passionate about teaching and learning and enjoy the lively interaction with my beloved students. I have completed my MS and Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, USA. As a part of the research team at UC Santa Cruz, we have developed a programmable electro-optical platform that can deliver single biomolecules (e.g. Ribosome, DNA, Protein, Viruses, etc.) into an analysis region on a demand basis with reconfigurable settings. Additionally, we have developed an anti-Brownian electrokinetic trapping methodology that facilitates in-plane (2D) single-particle trapping for prolonged analysis. Furthermore, we have developed a novel methodology that can dramatically improve the bioparticle detection rate to facilitate detection at clinically relevant concentration samples. Currently, my research interest encompasses Biosensors, Nanopores and integrated nanopore devices, Single molecule detection, analysis and manipulation, Nanotechnology, Applied optics, Optofluidics, Integrated electronics.
