Md. Osman Ali, M.Sc. in Eng.
Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, DUET, Gazipur
Mr. Md. Osman Ali is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department Mechanical Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur. In June 2021, he joined DUET as a Lecturer. He received his M.Sc. Engg. Degree from DUET in 2023. He also accomplished his B. Sc. Engg. Degree from DUET in 2019. He has been nominated for “Prime Minister Gold Medal (PMGM)-2019” for his outstanding academic results from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty. He has also been nominated for “University Gold Medal” for securing the highest CGPA in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Among the most prestigious awards for undergraduate students in Bangladesh, he has been nominated for these two awards in recognition of his exceptional academic achievement. During his Undergraduate Program, he received the “Dean’s Award”, “University merit scholarship”, and “University Grants Commission (UGC) merit scholarship”. On November 9, 2018, he became champion in “10th National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad” held at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). He also became champion in “Mechanics Olympiad” in DUET TECHFEST 2K18 organized by DUET Robotics Club. He also became champion in “Engineering Olympiad” in consecutive Meccelaration-2018 and Meccelaration-2019 organized by the students of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Islamic Institute of Technology (IUT). Beside his undergraduate study, he was involved in DUET CR Forum in the 2018-2019 academic year as a coordinator. So far, his publications topics are Nanotechnology, Phase change heat transfer, Tribology, Bio-coating, Biopolymer composites and Li-ion batteries. His current research interests are Nanotechnology, Applied Mechanics, Biopolymer Composites, Additive Manufacturing, Li-ion Batteries and Renewable Energy.
