Md. Rashedul Mia, PhD

Dr. Mohammad Rashed Mia is a distinguished researcher in mechanical engineering and renewable energy, specializing in ocean wave energy harvesting, nano-additive materials for engine performance, and solar energy applications. He holds a PhD from Western Sydney University, an MSc from the University of Malaya, and a BSc from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Bangladesh. Dr. Mia has published 41 research articles, including 31 refereed journal papers and 1 book chapter, with over 1,531 Scopus citations (h-index 17) and 2,035 Google Scholar citations (h-index 20, i10-index 25). His work has been recognized through the HDR Top Publication Award 2022 at Western Sydney University and a Global Talent for Australia. He worked as a research fellow at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), he has led government- and industry-funded projects, including a $100K NSW government initiative on energy research. His contributions support UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 17, advancing sustainable and energy-efficient technologies.
