Md. Shariful Alam Emon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at DUET, Gazipur. He completed both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from BUET with outstanding academic performance and several merit-based awards. His research mainly focuses on energy harvesting, smart materials, vibration analysis, heat transfer, and computational modeling. He has worked on diverse research projects, including the nonlinear analysis of piezoelectric energy harvester arrays and heat-transfer enhancement using phase-change materials in microchannels. He has published research in international conferences and journals and enjoys using tools like MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL, and LAMMPS in his work. Before joining academia, he gained industrial experience at Kohinoor Chemical Company Limited. Over the years, he has served as a Lecturer at AUST and DUET, where he developed strong interests in teaching, mentoring, and hands-on engineering projects. He is passionate about solving real engineering problems through simulation, experimentation, and practical design, and is committed to contributing to innovative and energy-efficient technologies.
