Md. Sohrab Mahmud, PhD

Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DUET, Gazipur

Md Sohrab Mahmud is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. in 2024 from University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. He previously earned an M.Sc. degree from the same University in 2017, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, in 2010. His research interests lie in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), with a particular emphasis on advanced signal processing techniques for satellite communications and passive radar systems. His core research areas include Passive Bistatic Radar, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)–based radar, detection and tracking of non-cooperative Low Earth Orbit (LEO) objects, and long-duration coherent integration of weak satellite signals for space debris monitoring.
